Perleas Mansion, Chios

Perleas Mansion, on Chios island, combines the nobility of an old mansion with the beautiful environment of organic farming.

The 4-acre estate offers high quality holidays to nature lovers. Meals are carefully prepared with fresh vegetables gathered directly from Perlea's fields. The farm has about 1100 trees, especially citrus trees, tangerines, oranges and lemons. The olive trees provide the necessary oil for cooking and there is also a small production of potatoes and vegetables. All cultivation has been certified as organic since 1993, being one of the first to be so designated in the area.

The three different residences have seven apartments, which can host at least 14 visitors and the rooms have been recently refurbished to offer every modern facility.

There is also a stable with chickens, turkeys, goats, rabbits and pigs. A small handicraft unit has recently been established, producing fresh, all natural marmalades and sweets from age-old traditional Chian recipes.

Only 7 km from the city of Chios and 4 km from the seaside.

Mystic Blue Eco Sailing And Diving

Mystic Blue was inspired by a group of people from different backgrounds, with varied skills (divers, biologists and environmentalists), who were brought together due to their love of the sea and nature.

Their primary objective is the study and protection of the marine world and the raising of public awareness on environmental issues. In order to support this goal, they have created a series of eco activities involving sailing, diving and exploring unique species.

When their sailing boat, Tahita, is not chartered, she takes part in environmental activities throughout the year and they participate and support researchers in their collection of information and in their studies regarding ecology.

The group organises clean-ups of beaches, coves and underwater and collect plastics for recycling. Marine ecology seminars for divers and underwater photography exhibitions are also organised with the aim of raising awareness towards the protection of the sea and wild life.
